They are both sub-standard, quality wise, but at least when repairs are necessary you will be able to get parts for the Philips, so go Philips, if you only have these 2 choices. If your budget permits, in the size screen you want, I suggest that you go with Sony or Toshiba. “Buy cheap, buy twice.”
