I am shopping for a 46 inch 1080p LCD TV but there are so many similar ones by different companies (e.g. Toshiba, Samsung, Sharp, LG). What brand TV should I get?
Also, the 120Hz TVs are all about $300-$400 more than the 60Hz ones. Is it worth spending the extra $300-$400 for this?
At this point I am debating getting the “Toshiba Regza 46 inch 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV (46LX177)” because an employee at the Best Buy store says that it is the best quality for the price compared to similar TVs by other companies. I am wondering whether I should get this or a Samsung, Sharp etc. with the same specs. I am also wondering whether I should save $300-$400 and get a similar TV with 60Hz instead of 120Hz.
Note that I plan to watch Blu-Ray and regular movies, watch regular and HD television and play PS3 games.
Thanks for any advice.

Hi
Here’s a good link for 1080p TVs.http://www.flat-screen-tv-guide.com/flat…
Samsung, toshiba are good brands. Just don’t get zenith, prima or those brands.
120hz is basically the refresh rate of the TV. This is handy when there’s fast action scenes which is crucial when playing video games. This is because a TV or monitor that has a low refresh rate will leave a ghost trail on the screen or after image. Now a TV with a fast refresh rate like a 120hz TV, then it will less likely to leave any ghost trails.
Now that you have some info, you just have to ask your self if $300-$400 is worth getting the 120hz TV. If money wasn’t too big of an issue I would certainly get it, because I play a lot of games.
I will help..If you buy me one too:)
Shop around…Don’t skimp if you are very picky…If you are not to picky then go for the 60…
I being someone who is not very picky would never spend that much more for something that will be the norm in a year from now!..If you plan on using it a lot,buy TOSHIBA..They are great for quality.
Please buy me one:)..Good luck and happy shopping.
Sorry, can’t help you..
Flip a coin….
Pull a brand out of a hat…
You like the Regza…get it.
I prefer the Sonys and Mitsubishis.
